A complete redesign of the Pocket wave has evolved to deliver the finer aspects of wavesailing performance.

Quick turns and more stability are new for 2008. Set a rail and hang on because when you tell the Pocket to turn, it wastes no time. Bump and jump, freestyle and high wind blasting are second nature for this ride!

The outline comes from last years board and has been stretched out in length and given a slightly narrower tail section. The Volume and Widepoint have been moved forward. The Pin tail ads more control and directional stability to handle a wider range of sailor levels.

Tabou started in March 1990 by producing of excellent quality radical custom windsurf and surf boards, which quickly became popular in Europe.

“Tabou production boards started in 1993 when Bic Sport came to ask me to shape their production boards and team rider boards. The first boards I shaped for them were the Bic Vivace and since then I’ve shaped all their boards even the very successful Techno line."

"Last year talking with Knut Budig (owner of Gaastra sails), we both thought that there was room on the market for a brand like Tabou to grow and to be one of the market leaders in the near future” says shaper Fabien Vollenweider. Tabou’s primary focus is developing boards that perform well and are easy to use for beginners through to professionals.

Tabou is now owned by two windsurfer’s - shaper Fabien Vollenweider and Knut Budig (ex junior windsurf world champion). These guys know what the market needs and have a passion for windsurfing just like you!
