2007 HiFly Free 126, Windsurfing Magazine, April 2007
"motored over chop. Comfortable, forgiving and fast too...biggest sail range of the fleet...huge wind range"

Hifly Free 111 - Windsurfing (US)

"step and go riding - no tuning needed. Easy to dial in, appreciate and most of all, have fun. Testers unanimously praised the HiFly for its speed, comfort, control and well rounded performance - a rare agreement among the team...two included fins enhance the sail range, prompting testers to call this shape a "classic"...fast, friendly and can do everything...fast and sailed smoothly."

Totally overhauled for the 2007 season, all FREEs are now even faster and easier to jibe.  With a modified outline, we have been able to complement and really boost the performance of the fins, while reducing the fin length.  The advantages for you: The FREEs go upwind very well and are easy to control.  Tailwalk and adverse lift are minimized, even when sailing at the limit.  This is easier on your feet, ankles, and knees, particularly evident during longer sessions.  These boards handle great and ride even better.  And that means your fun factor is absolutely maximized.

Felt like it could go in as much wind as god could throw at me – it had a magic carpet-ride feel to it because the deck is domed and even though my heels weren't that low to the water, I felt like I was levitating over the chop.. Best suits: Downwind slalom blaster.

Easy to jump and it feels small for 111-liters – a good thing for me. I thought it went upwind good, but I felt that I was losing speed in the jibes consistently. Yes, I would own it for blasting around in chop and flat water. It's fast and better suited for my size sailors.

I went 36.5 mph on it. I was amazed how fast it went – my fastest run ever. But for me, the only thing it had going for it was beam reaching speed. In flat water, in good strong winds, the speed and speed sensation was just great fun.

Endless Ride & FUN
Our line of red runners has been totally overhauled for the 2006 season. All FREEs are now even faster and easier to jibe. Primarily this is due to new fins. With a changed outline, we have been able to complement and really boost the performance of the fins, although they have become shorter. The advantages for you: The boards go upwind very well and are easy to control, because they do not rail up on you, even when sailing on the limit. This is easier on your foot joints, and particularly longer runs become more comfortable. The boards handle even better and are easier to ride. And that’s even more fun!
